BEHIND THE HARD HAT: EMMA J.

PROJECT MANAGER | PURPOSE-DRIVEN PRECISION | SPREADSHEET SUPERHERO

Emma’s career in construction began in an environment where precision wasn’t optional.

Twelve years ago, she worked on the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant in California. It was there she discovered how rewarding it is to work on complex projects that have real, tangible results and require precision and teamwork.

She joined Richard Group seeking a team that values both quality and collaboration. A company known for tackling challenging work while supporting its people. For Emma, it was an opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to projects that directly serve communities and veterans.

Building in Active Hospitals
Working in active hospitals presents unique challenges on every project.

Patient care continues just feet away from construction zones. Safety protocols, infection control measures, and sensitive equipment require every detail to be planned and communicated clearly.

Through careful scheduling and proactive coordination with her team, subcontractors, and clients, Emma ensures everyone stays aligned. Anticipating potential challenges before they escalate allows projects to stay on track while protecting the operations around them.

Streamlining Communication Through Technology
Emma is especially excited by Richard’s implementation of Procore.

Centralizing project information has strengthened coordination across teams, streamlined documentation, and reduced miscommunication. With all updates housed in one place, issues can be addressed quickly and confidently.

What She Brings to the Team
Beyond her technical expertise, Emma is known for being approachable and relatable.

She values open communication and works to create an environment where everyone feels supported and aligned toward a common goal. Years of managing complex healthcare projects have sharpened her adaptability and reinforced the importance of staying composed when conditions shift.

“My experience with Richard Group has been incredibly rewarding and has helped me grow as a Project Manager. I’m grateful to work for a company that makes me feel supported, values both work and family, and encourages professional growth.”
