Richard did an exceptional job managing the project. An excellent CPM schedule was initially established which set the tone for timely material and equipment submittals, plus the Superintendent gave weekly updates covering key status updates. This project entailed a fully operational hospital, and Richard did an excellent job phasing the project to ensure only a minimal number of rooms were taken at any given time. The communication was also excellent ensuring all stakeholders were aware in advance of impacts to their areas.

Richard had zero change orders, which is rare on a complex project of this nature and exceeded their contractual performance by ensuring detailed information on devices and equipment installation for more than 300 locations. Richard finished ahead of a tight schedule that included work in complex areas, such as ICUs and Emergency Departments. The management team was also exceptional providing constant communication and coordination to ensure minimum impact to ongoing hospital care.

Despite change orders which could have affected the critical path of the project schedule for approximately 6-8 weeks, Richard proceeded creatively alongside their subcontracting teams and expedited material delivery to avoid any delays. Richard Group has been complimented by building staff members, property management, as well as subcontracting teams with their efforts in managing expectations while on our jobsite. GSA Property Management and their staff have stated on multiple occasions that Richard Group has set better cleanliness and infection control procedures than they have previously seen by other general contractors.
